Chronicles of Narnia
I've been reading this book with my Mom. It's a really good book and I recommend you read it. My Mom and I read the book every night if we can. We've read two and a half books from the series. There are seven books in all.
The first book was about two children and their uncle. Their uncle is like a magician and made some rings that will take you to other worlds. The girl was fascinated by the rings and decided to put one on but when you touch them you go to the other world. The boy wanted his friend back so he put one on and took two more rings with him so they could get back. The rest of the book is about how they go to different worlds and meet different people.
The second book is about 4 children that find a magic wardrobe and go through it on accident. They find themselves in a world called Narnia and meet a whole bunch of different people. This book is adventurous and exciting.
My Mom and I are starting the third book. It's really, really good so far and as soon as I finish it I will tell you about it.

Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Avalon and I just finished 497 pages of this wonderful story about a young boy, a dragon and an adventure of a lifetime! We had so much fun reading it that we can't wait for young Christopher Paolini to come out with the second book in his trilogy.
Avalon gave me the book, Eragon, as a christmas present and we have spent every night reading it! It took us almost a month to finish the entire book, but it was worth every second. I especially enjoyed having a long, interesting story to share with Avalon before bedtime.
Hopefully Avalon will add her own little blog about Eragon, too.
Enjoy!

Sip, Slurp, Soup, Soup - Caldo, Caldo, Caldo
by Diane Gonzales Bertrand
I like this book because it talks about food.
The pictures make me feel hungry.
I can learn more Spanish because it is both in Spanish and English.
I recommend this book and I think you will like it.
Anyone will like this book.

Welcome to Avalons Books
Walter the Farting Dog
by William Kotzwinkle
First let me tell you why we started this web site:
Avalon is my daughter and she loves to read. She also loves to write her own books. One day I saw her looking through a catalog and writing down all the things she wanted to buy, and how much money she needed to save in order to buy them. I asked her if she wanted to start a business so she could earn the money herself. That is what AvalonsBooks.com is all about.
Here you can find the books that Avalon has been reading, and whether she thinks they would be a good gift for one of your own children. And everytime you buy a book from this web site, Avalon earns a little bit of money from Amazon.com... money she uses to buy more books, of course!
So in dedication to my daughter Avalon, I listed the first book, Walter the Farting Dog. It's one of her favorites and it still makes us all laugh everytime we read it.
